HI ALL! (:Coming up next is an extraordinary event incalcated with the fears of halloween!
This event will occur straight after the star-gazing session held on the 15th October (Friday Night). It is a 12-hour non-stop event which will be happening in school, a night with fun-filled activities and games not to be missed!

Date: 15/10/10 - 16/10/10
Time: 7pm - 7am
Supper will be provided.
For interested Participants,
Indemnity forms will be issued to you this coming Friday (01/10/10), and are to be returned (slotted under the clubroom door) by 6th October 2010 - Wednesday 00:00.
These forms will be submitted to the Student Affairs Office on Thursday Morning so as to acknowledge your stay and ensure your safety during the 12-hour stay in NYP. Hence, late submission will be voided as they need time to process. We seek your understanding and coorperation to submit the forms on time.
Please also bring along $2 cash on Friday (01/10/10) to support the happening of this event, even if you're not interested. (Treat it as club fund, we're in this together!) :D
Those who are not able to attend this week's Star-gazing session but are interested to participate, Kindly collect the forms from the files hung outside the club room door, fill them up and slot under the clubroom door with a $2 note attached to it by 6th October 2010 - Wednesday 00:00.

Please ensure that you have essential sleep before attending the camp.

Shirts designed with theme Halloween together with Astronomy will be printed according to your response.
Each Shirt will cost around $12-$15.
However, due to time constrain, shirts can only be produced few weeks after the event.
Details - COLOUR:BLACK; TYPE: ROUND NECK DRY FIT.
If you'd like to get one, indicate in the acknowledgement email with your ideal size, and bring along an additional amount of $15.
Extra money collected will be fully refunded. Money will also be fully refunded in the following astronomy sessions if the response is poor.

HEY GUYS!! I'M BACKKKKKKK! :DI'm looking forward to meeting all of you on the 17th Sept, Friday.
Please note that the initial star-gazing session is still ongoing.
However, it shall be a total different session this time.
We're celebrating the mooncake festival together! (:
This is the first time we're doing this.

Talk cum Presentation on Mars Exploration by Dr Sebastian Gautsch
Sorry about the last star gazing session that was cancelled.
It all depends on the weather.
The next session should be after the exams somewhere in Sept, but for now there is this.
Talk cum Presentation on Mars Exploration by Dr Sebastian Gautsch
The National Youth Achievement Award (NYAA) Council would like to invite you to attend the talk cum presentation on the Mars Exploration by Dr Sebastian Gautsch
and a reception thereafter on Friday, 13 August 2010 from 3.00pm to 5.00pm at the Singapore Polytechnic Auditorium, 500 Dover Road, Singapore139651. You would
be given the opportunity to ask Dr Gautsch on his work and successful operation on Mars Exploration.
Dr Sebastian Gautsch received his M.A. Sc degree in Electronical Physics from the University of Neuchatel, Switzerland in 1998. He obtained his PhD degree in the field
of micro-mechanical systems from the Institute of Microtechnology (IMT), University of Neuchatel, Switzerland in 2001. His PhD thesis was done in collaboration with the
Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL) in Pasadena, USA and led to the successful operation of an Atomic Force Microscope on the famous Phoenix Mission to Mars in 2008.
Dr Gautsch is currently a team leader at EPFL IMT SAMLAB in the field of Tools for Nanoscience. Dr Gautsch has more than 34 publications on his work.

HELLO!I really wanna thank the people, who've sent in their details on time for the YOG - Cheering the flames event. We've managed to get enough people to fill up the list. We have exactly 20 people on the list. As such, please please please attend the practices that has been assigned in the email.
It will be held every Tues & Fri starting from 6th July for flashmobbers,
TIME: 6-9pm
VENUE: Sports hall (Blk E lvl 2 - Student card required for entrance)
As for motivators, 6 & 9th July is compulsory for you to attend. If you have further queries, please contact the person in-charged or ask them directly on the 6th July.
I understand that the flashmobs practice clashes with the bi-weekly stat-gazing sessions. As such, those who are involved in the YOG will be excused from Astronomy until 7 Aug, provided you attend the dance practices.
